What music is in GTA 6? 20 songs, 18 of them in English
10 min readUpdated 19 September 2026

Twenty songs have played in official Grand Theft Auto VI material, and eighteen of them are in English. The other two are a Haitian konpa record from 2004 and a Dominican dembow track from 2021, both of which fit Vice City rather better than the eighteen do.
That is the whole of what Rockstar has shown. Everything past it is unconfirmed, including the ten acts that spent Tuesday teasing it.

One caveat worth stating before anyone builds a radio-station theory on that table: a song in a trailer is a song Rockstar licensed for a trailer. It is strong evidence of a soundtrack placement and it is not the same thing. Rockstar has published no radio lineup at all — we fetched rockstargames.com/VI this morning and the words “music”, “soundtrack” and “radio station” appear on it zero times, against “November 19” seven times.
What happened on Tuesday
On 15 September, ten acts posted images in Rockstar’s promotional art style — yachts, iguanas, a pool, purple heels, a car on a Leonida plate — and tagged or gestured at the game. Travis Scott’s came closest to an outright statement, with a Rockstar tag and the words “RETURN TO GAME”. The ten:
Travis Scott, Future, Metro Boomin, Morgan Wallen, Keith Richards, PinkPantheress, Yung Lean, Rauw Alejandro, Fred again.., and CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso.
A day later Spotify put the same artwork on physical billboards in Los Angeles, New York and Miami with its own logo on them, and posted the photos with a one-character caption: 👀. RockstarINTEL has the billboards; ScreenRant makes the point that matters most about the posts, which is that most of them do not name GTA 6 at all.
So, labelled properly:
- Confirmed by Rockstar: the twenty songs above, as trailer and Extended Look music. Nothing about radio stations.
- Teased by the artist, unconfirmed by Rockstar: all ten acts. No song titles, no stations, no dates.
- Reported, unconfirmed: a dedicated Drake station with unreleased music, which traces to a claim by Jermaine Dupri that neither Rockstar nor Drake has addressed.
- Not claimed by anyone: that the soundtrack is finished, or that these ten are all of it. A GTA radio lineup historically runs to hundreds of tracks.
Update, 19 September: Rockstar has confirmed the album
On 17 September Rockstar announced Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, a 34-track record with Atlantic Records, shipping 20 November, the day after the game — CD at $19.98, standard vinyl at $49.98 and a limited transparent magenta pressing at $124.98 (confirmed by Rockstar).
Six of the thirty-four are named so far: Yung Lean’s “That’s It” featuring Future and Metro Boomin, Travis Scott’s “RHYNO”, “Sexy Magic” by CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso with PinkPantheress and Fred again.. & Etienne de Crécy, Morgan Wallen’s “Last Thing You Need”, Rauw Alejandro’s “Macacoa 2000”, and Keith Richards’ “Bright Lights, Big City”. That converts most of the 15 September teases above from unconfirmed to confirmed, and it adds a French producer to the list.
It does not change the language picture, and it is not the radio lineup. Of the six named songs, five are in English and one — “Macacoa 2000” — is in Spanish, which lands almost exactly on the ratio the rest of this post describes. The other twenty-eight tracks are unannounced, and an album is a curated record rather than the in-game stations, so the count below still stands as what Rockstar has actually published. We will update this section again rather than write a second post.
Now the part we can measure
Eight of those ten acts record in English. Two — Rauw Alejandro, and CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso — record in Spanish. Add the confirmed twenty and the whole public picture of GTA VI’s music is 26 anglophone entries, three Spanish-language ones and one in Haitian Creole.
We count every live Grand Theft Auto stream on Kick, Twitch and YouTube once a minute, which means we can say who is on the other end of that. Across fourteen complete censuses between 04:10:35 and 04:24:34 UTC on 17 September 2026 — a mean of 248,835 concurrent viewers across 1,848 live channels:
| Language | Viewers | Share | Channels | On the soundtrack |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| English | 157,365 | 63.2% | 1,099 | 18 songs, 8 acts |
| Portuguese | 34,909 | 14.0% | 376 | — |
| Arabic | 29,961 | 12.0% | 26 | — |
| Spanish | 18,658 | 7.5% | 201 | 1 song, 2 acts |
| Thai | 4,310 | 1.7% | 35 | — |
Portuguese is nearly twice the size of Spanish and has nothing. Arabic is bigger than Spanish too, and holds it on twenty-six channels against two hundred and one — which is its own story, and one we have told.
That census is one hour of one day, and the hour matters enormously for this particular question: the language mix rotates as the planet turns, and we have published a snapshot where Arabic was 49.6% of all GTA viewing and another, same clock time six weeks later, where it was 2.9%. So here is the same question asked over thirty days instead, from the hundred largest GTA channels by hours watched — 46,356,835 of them, which is 23.7% of all GTA viewing in the window 18 August to 17 September:
| Language | Hours watched (30d) | Share of top 100 | Channels |
|---|---|---|---|
| Arabic | 22,926,860 | 49.5% | 28 |
| English | 11,626,543 | 25.1% | 31 |
| Polish | 4,206,070 | 9.1% | 6 |
| Spanish | 1,968,277 | 4.2% | 11 |
| French | 1,594,617 | 3.4% | 3 |
| Portuguese | 1,298,570 | 2.8% | 5 |
| Japanese | 1,262,782 | 2.7% | 2 |
Twenty-eight Arabic-speaking channels account for 11.7% of every viewer-hour Grand Theft Auto generated on the three platforms over the last thirty days. Six Polish ones account for 2.2%. Neither language has a single entry anywhere in the public soundtrack, and neither has a billboard.
The obvious objection, which is a good one
Vice City is Miami. Spanish and Haitian Creole are Miami’s languages — about two thirds of Miami-Dade residents aged five and over speak Spanish at home, per Census figures, and the county holds the largest Haitian community in the United States — so a Dominican dembow track and a Haitian konpa record are not tokens. They are Rockstar being unusually careful about where its map is. Arabic and Polish are not spoken in South Florida in any numbers, and a Warsaw radio station in Leonida would be a worse game.
That is the real answer, and it is why this is a measurement rather than a complaint: Rockstar casts its radio for where the game is set, and the audience is somewhere else entirely. GTA V did the same thing with an almost entirely anglophone soundtrack and sold north of 200 million copies, so nobody should pretend this is a commercial error. What it is, is a gap that has grown wide enough to be worth knowing about — and the marketing is where it shows. Billboards in three American cities, for an audience that is 36.8% non-English in the census above and 74.9% non-English across the last thirty days of its hundred biggest channels.
What this does not show
The honest limits, and the first one is the big one.
Stream language is not music taste. We record the language a broadcast is tagged in, not what its audience listens to. A Riyadh viewer watching an Arabic-language GTA stream may love Travis Scott, and very probably does — Metro Boomin does not need a translation. Nothing here says Rockstar is leaving money on the table. It says the people watching Grand Theft Auto are not the people the billboards are addressed to.
The thirty-day table is a top-100 board, not a population. It covers 23.7% of all viewing. Language shares inside it are shares of that top slice, and big channels are not distributed like small ones — which is exactly why both tables are here instead of whichever one made the better headline.
The soundtrack is incomplete and mostly unconfirmed. Ten teases are not a tracklist. If Rockstar announces an Arabic-language station next week, this post’s central table is out of date and we will say so on this URL rather than write another one.
We count viewers, not players. Our meter sees people watching GTA on Kick, Twitch and YouTube. It cannot see the far larger number playing it with the radio on, which is the audience the soundtrack is actually for.

The census figures are the mean of fourteen complete censuses of every live
GTA stream on Kick, Twitch and YouTube between 04:10:35 and 04:24:34 UTC on 17
September 2026, from data.luciastream.com. In all fourteen the top-400 board
and the tail file carried matching timestamps, the per-stream counts reconciled
exactly to the published totals, no channel appeared twice, and no platform
reported degraded coverage. Thirty-day figures are from
boards/top-creators-30d.json at 03:57:55 UTC the same morning; the
195,619,134 viewer-hour denominator is the 720-point hourly series in
live/summary.json, covering 04:00 UTC 18 August to 04:00 UTC 17 September.
